The third trimester is the home stretch of pregnancy as it nears it’s end, but is often challengeing. While most of the necessary testing has been completed in the 1st and 2nd trimesters, there are still some necessary tests for the last few months.
Third Trimester (27-41 weeks):
- GBS (Group beta Streptococcus) vaginal culture 36 weeks
- Cervical exam to evaluate proximity to labor 39-40 weeks
