Last April, Seymour Ziegelman, M.D., also known as “Dr. Z”, announced his wife of 50 years, Loretta, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. The illness has no recognized treatment and takes as many people per year as breast cancer.
At the time, Dr. Z’s wife had just undergone a lung transplant, and he planned to devote 100% of his time caring for his loving spouse. Now, with more than 40 years as a doctor, Dr. Ziegelman has decided to retire, and he has a special message for his loyal patients and colleagues:
It has been my privilege, as a physician, to provide medical care for over 40 years. So many people have been part of this life and I thank you for entrusting your health care to me. I have decided that it’s now time to ask you to transfer that trust to my talented colleagues as I am retiring as of the first of March.
Stay well and take care!!
