I have had the privilege of providing health care to many of you for more than 40 years. Unfortunately, my dear wife of 50 years, Loretta, has developed Pulmonary Fibrosis, a disease for which there is no recognized treatment. Pulmonary Fibrosis takes as many people annually as breast cancer does.
It is now time for me to devote 100% of my energies to her. On April 10, Loretta received a lung transplant at the Cleveland Clinic and at this writing remains in stable condition.
It is my hope that I will be able to rejoin my colleagues at Women’s Health and Menopause Center as Loretta improves. These are the professionals with whom I have had the joy of working with for many years, as well as training with at Sinai Hospital of Detroit.
